We are Kalluk Base Operators

Established in 2021, Kalluk Base Operators (KBO) is a partnership formed between Canadian Base Operators (CBO) and Kalluk Corp. Kalluk Corp is an Inuit-owned company that provides a wide range of maintenance services to its local Cambridge Bay area. KBO has been formed to provide a business connection between CBO, Inuit-owned companies, and the people of the Kitikmeot region.

For more than 25 years, CBO has provided customized facilities management and logistical support services to clients in the Canadian Defence, aviation, and energy sectors. KBO’s Inuit benefits objectives have an opportunity to impact communities by creating opportunities through training, skills development, and mentorship for Inuit beneficiaries at all levels of employment across their projects, as well as local priority sub-contracting opportunities for Inuit firms / Inuit-owned companies. This partnership increases participation in Inuit business opportunities to supply goods and services within the Kitikmeot region. The collaboration between CBO and Kalluk Corp will harness the strengths and abilities from each organization to generate project innovation and solve complex scope challenges.

As part of the Nunavut Agreement, KBO is registered with Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) to carry out facility maintenance and operations services within the Nunavut Settlement Area. This partnership continues to create new opportunities which benefit local communities by supporting Indigenous suppliers, providing training and employment opportunities and bringing economic value to the Kitikmeot region.
